Arrival to Rome

Welcome to Rome, an extraordinary vibrant and beautiful capital of magnificent Italy. We are happy to welcome you and assist you in preparations for our marvelous journey. Depending on your arrival we recommend you to take a tour of this unique and lively city. In case you arrive only one day before the tour, we will gladly recommend the best of what Rome has to offer. However, we do recommend scheduling your arrival 1 or 2 days earlier, so you could do some good and relaxing sightseeing in Rome and enjoy the famous Italian cuisine in numerous trattorias scattered around the city. On our meeting day, your tour guide will welcome you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. We will enjoy a welcome dinner and a relaxing evening together.

Rome - Civitavecchia (evening boat to Sardinia)

After breakfast, we will have a short briefing covering the most important aspects of riding in a group and we will repeat the most useful information concerning the tour. As the tour starts, we will be heading towards the nature park Braccian and a nearby lake Vico, until we reach Civita di Bagnoregio. After some sightseeing, we will visit the Saturnia Hot Springs and if there will be enough time, we may enjoy the baths before catching the evening boat to Sardinia. We will have a relaxing dinner on the boat and spend the night in our cosy cabins.

Olbia - Arbatax

In the morning we will reach Sardinia and the city of Olbia. Once on the solid ground, we will have a short coffee and hit the exciting roads of the magical Sardinia. Riding along the coast towards Arbatax, we will enjoy the motorcycle paradise full of twisty roads, beautiful sceneries and amazing local food.

Arbatax - Oristano

Leaving Arbatax in the morning, we will take some truly wonderful local roads through the Sardinian inlands all the way to the city of Oristano, known for its quiet but memorable charm.

Rest day in Oristano

We will take a break and enjoy the beautiful Oristano and its surroundings. Historically significant and overfilled with natural beauty, the western province of Oristano in Sardinia is a subtle mix of culture, old world traditions and beautiful scenery. The province is known for its iconic landmarks, charming ruins and historical events in the city, including the variety of the bird species, luscious landscapes and natural splendor of the coastline, mountains and the surrounding regional parks.

Oristano - Bosa - Alghero - Santa Teresa

Our journey continues along the magnificent western shore of Sardinia. After a short while we will reach the city of Bosa. This is the starting point of the most famous Sardinian motorcycle road. Take a deep breath of Mediterranean air, twist the throttle and sharpen your senses! We will be taking breaks along the way to enjoy the sea, perhaps take a swim, have a cappuccino and visit some attractions along the road, such as a famous cave and an Elephant rock. In the evening we will reach the city of Santa Teresa for a delicious dinner

Santa Teresa - Bonifacio – Ajaccio – Porto

After breakfast, we will have a short ride to the sea port, where we will board the ferry to Corsica. After only a short sail, we will be in France! Bonjour! Here we will visit a beautiful city of Bonifaccio - a Mediterranean port situated on the cliffs of Corsica. The city and its fortifications extend along the cliff-tops, which are at about 70 meters (230 ft) elevation. The cliffs have been undercut by the ocean so that the buildings, which have been placed on the very lip of the precipice, appear to overhang it. The appearance from the sea is of a white city gleaming in the sun, suspended over the rough waters below. Riding along the Mediterranean shore, we will pass through Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, famous for its Notre Damme cathedral, where Napoleon Bonaparte was baptized. There you can see some amazing works of art, such as the paintings of Delacroix and Tintoretto. In the evening we will reach the city of Porto where we will have our dinner, take some rest and have fun.

Porto – Calvi – Saint Florent

Gulf of Porto Corsica, a Unesco Heritage site with natural reserves and breath-taking scenery. Cliffs, mountains, gorges, volcanic caldera, beaches... there is lots to see! High cliffs in a hard-pink stone shaped by the wind over millions of years. The steep 200 to 300-meter cliffs are very impressive and best admired at sunset when the colours are even more intense. This is a 250 million years old Caldera where the exposed rocks have been shaped by the sea and wind erosion. It has revealed detailed elements of its structure, making it one of the most fascinating places and unique landscapes to see in the Mediterranean Sea. The mountains in the area are some of the most beautiful in Corsica. Every turn on the road brings another WOW to your lips. Our exciting journey continues along the coast all the way to the city of Saint Florent. Take a look at the gorgeous mountains and the deep blue sea and enjoy the twisty road. You will surely get a shiver down your spine :)

Rest Day in Saint Florent

After the excitement of the day before, we will take the time to let the impressions settle and stop for a break at Saint Florent - a sailboat marina with many charming restaurants and beaches. The surrounding area is famous for its vineyards, producing some of Corsica’s best wines. There are literally dozens of vineyards to visit on the ‘Route des Vins’ - make sure to follow the brown road signs.

Saint Florent – Cap Corse - Bastia - Saint Florent

Today we will enjoy a ride around the Cap Corse, a 40 kilometers long peninsula located at the northern tip of the island. Numerous historians have termed Cap Corse "the Sacred Promontory" and have gone so far as to suppose the name came from a high concentration of early Christian settlements. At the base of it is the second largest city in Corsica, Bastia.

Saint Florent – Bastia – Livorno

A short morning ride will take us to Bastia, from where we will board the ferry to Livorno and return to Italy. From Livorno, we will take a splendid ride through the fascinating region of Tuscany. On our way to San Gimignano, we will pass through Pisa, famous for its lean tower and many other cultural and historic locations and works of art.

San Gimignano – Siena - Montepulciano - Porto San Stefano

While riding through the magnificent Tuscany and enjoying its natural and cultural sights, we will pass the amazing medieval city of Siena and continue our way back to the Tyrenean Sea and Porto San Stefano.

Porto San Stefano – Rome

On our last day in the saddle, we will take a ride through the Italian inlands and fill our memory with some more beautiful sceneries. Finally, we will reach the marvelous Rome and return to our hotel. After a short rest, we will relax during our delicious farewell dinner and have fun remembering the highlights of our great journey, while making plans and preparations for the next one. Enjoy!

Departure from Rome

Depending on your departure flight, you might choose to have another short tour of Rome, enjoy some more Italian coffee on the city streets and squares, or a nice farewell drink with a view of the beautiful Roman arena. Have a great time and we see you next season!
